The INBDE (Integrated National Board Dental Examination) is a licensure exam for dentists in the United States, replacing the NBDE Part 1 and Part 2. It evaluates clinical judgment and decision-making rather than just memorization.

To take the INBDE, you must:
✔ Be a graduate or final-year student from a CODA-accredited U.S. or Canadian dental school OR
✔ Be a foreign-trained dentist who has received eligibility approval from the American Dental Association (ADA)

The INBDE is a two-day exam with a total of 500 questions:
🦷 Day 1 – 360 questions (8 hours)
🦷 Day 2 – 140 questions (4 hours)
The exam includes multiple-choice and case-based questions covering various dental and biomedical sciences.

You need to:
✔ Apply through the JCNDE/ADA website
✔ Receive an eligibility email from the DENTPIN system
✔ Schedule your test with Prometric

✔ You can take the exam up to 5 times
✔ After 3 failed attempts, you must wait one year before retaking it
